Today our marketing intern Dorene will be taking over the MaskerAide blog to share her reviews on masks for sensitive skin! We are thrilled to share her reviews with you today.

Finding masks that are good for your sensitive skin can be very tricky. You probably have a million questions when deciding on a sheet mask to purchase. Is tea tree good for my sensitive skin? Will this mask clog my pores? Girl, I know the struggle. I have sensitive skin too. Patience is not just a virtue but a necessity when you have sensitive skin. Of course, it requires a lot of research as well (and maybe some tears on the sideline).
Lucky for you, I’ve tried all of MaskerAide’s (spoiler alert) amazing sheet masks. They have all worked wonders on my sensitive skin, but I’ve boiled it down to my top 3 favourites and I’m going to share them with you today!
This sheet mask is phenomenal! One of its star ingredients include hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic what? I know, it sounds intimidating but trust me, it’s not. Hyaluronic acid has natural calming properties that make it suitable for all skin types. I have dry patches all over my nose and this mask helped hydrate and smoothen the dry patches around that area. Put the sheet mask on while rewatching Mean Girls for the 100th time for best practice. You are welcome!
Ah, my favourite! I have acne-prone skin and spot treatment really works magic for me. I often get cystic acne and they’re no fun. Until recently, I’ve tried MaskerAide’s Crystal Clear mini masks and it changed my life forever. Not only is this product infused with pearl extracts that help lighten dark spots, this mask also contains hyaluronic acid that helps with hydration. Two birds, one stone indeed!
These mini masks are great for spot treatments and perfect for on the go masking. Channel your inner Cher (but with mini masks).

Last but most definitely not the least. This mask has 24k gold flakes that not only makes you feel like you’re worth a billion bucks but also kills acne-causing bacteria. This mask also contains honey which helps moisturize and soothe any reaction on your skin. It’s perfect for my acne-prone sensitive skin. My skin was noticeably brighter and it felt SO clean after using it. Now this mask may hurt a little to pull off, do not worry at all. You can apply this glorious mask on your most oily areas (ie. t-zone) to start with.
And there it is! Here are a few more of Dorene’s tips for masking with sensitive skin:
- Limit your sheet mask usage to 2-3 times a week. Exposing your skin to new ingredients too frequently may cause irritation.
- Always read the ingredients list before using the mask. An ingredient like honey is very gentle.
- Moisturizing is really important for sensitive skin! Even after a face mask, it’s good practice to still apply your regular moisturizer for added hydration.
Happy masking!
XO, MaskerAide
